Congratulations to Houston County High School!
Breast Cancer Awareness: Houston County High (Warner Robins, GA.) FCCLA focused on Breast Cancer Awareness by inviting a breast cancer survivor to speak about her experiences. The chapter also had a pink out day during the school's spirit week to emphasize breast cancer awareness, sold pink ribbons and had a "Mr. Pretty Legs" contest to raise donations.
Project Linus: Houston County High FCCLA donated over 40 Project Linus blankets to children at Houston Medical Center. The students got to present the blankets to the pediatric patients each time they visited.
Shoeboxes for Soldiers: Houston County High (Warner Robins, GA.) FCCLA collected and donated 176 shoeboxes for deployed military. Each box contained a note of appreciation and was wrapped in Christmas paper. They colaborated with other organizations in the school and with several CB&T Banks in the commuity to exceed this year's goal.
