CHS Freshman Campus FCCLA
Lends a Helping Hand to HEADSTART STUDENTS!

CHS Freshman Campus FCCLA takes the lead in hosting a Fall Festival for Coffee County HeadStart students. FCCLA members worked with other organizations on campus to host a festival which had over 20 booths and activities for the students. Other clubs participating included FFA, FBLA, TSA, Student Council, KEY Club, and the Art Club. It provided a great learning opportunity for all clubs to come together and work as one. The front yard of the Family and Consumer Science Building was transformed into a Fall Festival. The members collected prizes to be distributed during the event and worked with FFA to turn recycled lunchroom vegetable cans into treat buckets which held the prizes. 117 HeadStart students enjoyed the day and were actually paired up with club members who took them from booth to booth and assisted them in playing the games. The biggest hit of the day were the bouncy house and slide. These items were rented with money raised by club members from FCCLA and FFA.
