FCCLA + FBLA= A Winning Combination

Question: What happens when members of two local CTSO's partner to raise awareness of school clubs and CTAE career pathways?

Answer:  Success!

That's just what happened when leaders from F.C.C.L.A. and F.B.L.A. presented to incoming freshman students during the Freshman Success Academy held at T.W. Josey High School in July.  The purpose of the Freshman Success Academy was to introduce the students to high school and allow them the opportunity to learn about the programs and activities that would be available to them.  Kaitlyn Bernard, president of F.B.L.A and Adreanna Tolbert, president of F.C.C.L.A.  spoke to the freshman class about their personal experiences in their respective clubs and encouraged the students to join and take advantage of the membership opportunities.  The student leaders also assisted teachers from the CTAE department in introducing the CTAE pathways offered at T.W. Josey High School. The two clubs, along with the other CTSO's will form a CTSO executive council to plan joint community service events and projects throughout the school year.
