Houston County High School

Houston County High Family, Career and Community of America (FCCLA) chapter members recently attended the national Cluster meeting held at the World Congress Center in Atlanta. Attending were A.J Bailey, David Jefferson, Shivani Dhir, Lindsay Thrasher, Alexis Shields, Kenzie Scott, Bailey Fisher, Lauren Alheit and Sydney Humphrey. Accompanying the students were their advisers, Lynsey Price and
Jane Cooper.


Houston County High Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) chapter members visited Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins to deliver blankets on behalf of Project Linus. The blankets were created by FCCLA members. Sara McFayden, Macee McFayden, Kayla Ludicke and project chairman, David Jefferson, enjoyed visiting with the young patients. The chapter delivered 27 blankets and have plans to deliver more. HCHS chapter advisers are Lynsey Price and Jane Cooper.


Houston County High FCCLA chapter members who attended the recent National Cluster meeting in Atlanta took a moment to visit with FCCLA National Executive Director, Mr. Michael Benjamin.


Houston County High's Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA)chapter recently presented 200 children's DVD's, VHS movies and a DVD/VHS player to Houston Medical Pediatric floor. The community service project, "A Little Piece of Home for the Holidays" is spearheaded by chapter member, Shivani Dhir. The group also made a similar presentation to to the Children's Hospital at Macon Medical Center. Assisting in the presentation to Pediatric Nurse, Robbie Cantrell, are Tyler Hertog, Sydney Bohannon, David Jefferson, Bailey Fisher and advisers, Lynsey Price and Jane Cooper.
